The Sinhala and Tamil New Year

The Sinhala and Tamil New Year is celebrated on April 15-16 in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Our Sri Lankan students (about 600 people) also celebrated the New Year on April 16.
A large festive program was prepared with traditional dances and games. It was a funny and interesting event. A lot of students participated in dances, sports and entertaining games. The celebration ended with the ceremony of awarding the winners of competitions and games. All students were in national costumes, Sri Lankan sweets were prepared for all students and guests.
