PULSE ’22 CONCERT

The Sri Lankan Students’ Association of Grodno State Medical University organized their annual cultural concert: PULSE ’22 which was composed of delightful dances such as Pahatharata, Kandyan, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Western, and Freestyle. Additionally, there was also a multitude of tuneful singing with melodious symphonies in a variety of languages including Sinhala, English, Hindi, Russian and Tamil; several sensational dramatic performances, innovative art decorations, and many other spectacular events on the 15th of April 2022. Our university consists of 720 Sri Lankan students, who actively participated in this concert. “Pulse” is the largest annual student event that takes place in the Sri Lankan student community and the sponsorship of this event was mainly undertaken by REC campus, Dr.Lasantha Amarakoon. The students also received a lot of support from the Dean’s office, the Dean Alexander Alexandrovich Stenko and the Vice Dean’s of the foreign faculty Guschyna Ludmila Nikolaevna as well as the Vice- Dean of extra-curricular activities Mishonkova Nadeshda Aleksevna.

As means of contouring this concert into a more colourful curtain call, the students prepared comely costumes, and bewitching decorations, along with sounds, lighting, special effects, etc. To enliven the evening; all in accordance with their theme, ‘THE KING’S COURT’, bringing about a touch of our heritage to the Republic of Belarus. This was an opportunity for us to encourage the locals of Belarus to enjoy the beauty, bliss, and sovereignty of our Sri Lankan Students homeland.
