PRIMARY REGISTRATION
Temporary Stay Permit
Foreign applicants must report to the Dean's Office of the Medical Faculty for International Students (80 Gorky St., 5th floor, office 532) within three days from the date of entry into Belarus and undergo the migration registration - obtain a Temporary Stay Permit (primary registration)
Foreigners who entered Belarus at checkpoints across the State Border of the Republic of Belarus can register online (free of charge) through the unified portal for electronic services portal.gov.by
To apply for a Temporary Stay Permit (online or through the migration service) you must submit the following to the Dean's Office:
- 2 photos (size 3x4)
- Passport with a study visa + copies
- Copy of a notarized translation of your passport
- Copy of medical insurance policy
- we strongly recommend purchasing policies from the Belarusian state-owned companies Belgosstrakh and Beleximgarant
- citizens of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine do not need compulsory medical insurance
- State Fee payment receipt (1 base amount) - if online (free of charge) registration is not possible
Primary registration is usually issued for the validity period of the visa

RE-REGISTRATION
Temporary Residence Permit
After primary registration and formal admission to the University, international students are given a Temporary Residence Permit — registration valid for up to one year. It must be renewed annually.
To apply for/extend a Temporary Residence Permit (re-registration), you must submit the following documents to the Dean's Office 20 days before the expiration of the previous one:
- Photo
- Passport
- Copy of a notarized translation of your passport
- Copy of medical insurance policy
- we strongly recommend purchasing policies from the Belarusian state-owned companies Belgosstrakh and Beleximgarant
- citizens of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine do not need compulsory medical insurance
- State Fee payment receipt (3 base amounts)
- Two copies of your residential lease agreement
Registration may be shortened due to the limited validity of:
- Passport
- Residential lease agreement
- Insurance policy
- Duration of study
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
International students are required to reside in Belarus only at the place where they are officially registered! Before moving to a new place of residence, you must submit the following documents to the Dean's Office for amendment:
- Photo
- Passport
- Two copies of the residential lease agreement for a new address
Non-compliance with the above rules will result in administrative liability (warning, fine) or revocation of the Temporary Residence Permit
SINGLE EXIT-ENTRY VISA
to go home during the holiday break
To obtain a single exit-entry visa for exit and entry into Belarus during the holidays, you must submit the following documents to the Dean's Office at least 15 days before departure:
- Photo
- Passport
- Visa application addressed to the Dean
- State Fee payment receipt (3 base amounts)
You can receive your passport with the Visa after presenting the clearance form
A Single Exit-Entry Visa
- grants the right to exit and re-enter Belarus once
- is issued for a period of up to three months, provided that your registration (Temporary Residence Permit) exceeds the visa's validity by at least 20 days
Students from countries with a visa-free entry to Belarus (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) must submit an application (indicating the date of departure) and a clearance form to the Dean's Office before leaving for vacation.
EXPULSION FROM THE UNIVERSITY
In case of expulsion from the University, foreign students are required to immediately report to the Dean's Office to cancel registration, obtain an exit visa and leave Belarus within 15 days
Overstaying or evading departure can lead to serious penalties under the laws of the Republic of Belarus:
- Administrative liability: A fine of up to 50 base amounts.
- Deportation: Forced expulsion from the Republic of Belarus.
- Entry ban: Deportation entails a ban on entry into the country for a period of 1 to 5 years.
- Expenses: All expenses related to deportation are the responsibility of the student.
