History

The Department of Pharmacology was founded in 1960 by professor M.V. Korablev. The first academic staff was: M.V. Korablev, P.I. Lukiyenko, A.V. Myron.

Scientists who made a significant contribution to the history of the department.

Korablev Mikhail Vasilievich, Dr. Sc. (Medicine), professor. In 1960, he organized the Department of Pharmacology at the Grodno Medical Institute and headed it for 27 years. The results of his research have been reflected in the monographs "Dithiocarbamic acid derivatives", "Antihypoxic agents" and 130 scientific publications. He was supervisor of 12 Ph.D. and 1Dr.Sc.

Pyotr Ivanovich Lukienko, Dr.Sc. (Medicine), professor. He was the author of more than 300 scientific publications. Scientific research was devoted to the drug prevention and therapy of acute hypoxia, the regulation of the liver drug-metabolizing function. He was supervisor of 7 PhD and 1 D.Sc.  

Kurbat Nikolay Mikhailovich, Ph.D, Professor, Head of the Department of Pharmacology from 1987 to 1999. He is the author of 3 patents and more than 150 scientific publications.
