University Structure Departments Department of General and Bioorganic Chemistry

A great number of educational manuals have been published at the department (more than 90), 4 of them have been proved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. The department has developed and approved e-learning and methodological complexes for all taught disciplines.

Lectures of the department have published 840 scientific and educational publications, including 32 certificates and patents.

The research interests are mainly  devoted to the study of barbituric acid derivatives, N-acylated amines, amides, sulfamides, chemically modified polysaccharides (cellulose, amylose), biologically important steroids and its analogues, the organization of protein molecules, dynamics, function and regulation in the cell, the metabolism of exogenous ethanol in rat brain, PFC enzyme activity in rat adipose tissue, amino acid pool status, biogenic amines and its metabolites upon administration of nucleoside and non-nucleoside reverse transcription inhibitors reverse transcriptase in different parts of the rat brain, the effect of intermittent alcohol intoxication on neuromediation in the rat brain.
