A master class on surgical treatment of corneal pathology

Students from the Medical Faculty for International Students participated in a master class on surgical treatment of corneal pathology which was held at the Grodno University Clinic. Three complex corneal layer replacement surgeries were performed using corneal restoration material produced by the Ailab eye bank (Russia). The surgery was performed for the first in Belarus!

The international master class was conducted by Yuri Kalinnikov, Professor of the Department of Eye Diseases at Moscow State Medical and Dental University named after A.I.Evdokimov, Academic of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, one of the leading ophthalmology surgeons at the Clinical Hospital of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, with the participation of Victoria Krasilnikova, Chief part-time pediatric ophthalmologist at the Ministry of Health of Belarus, Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at BSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medicine Oksana Dudich and Head of the Department of Eye Microsurgery at the Grodno University Clinic, Chief part-time Ophthalmology Specialist at the Main Health Department of the Regional Executive Committee Sergey Logosh.
