On March 24, 2026, a Round Table (Panel) discussion on the topic “Health of a Woman is the Guarantee for a Nation’s Health” was held. Both international and Belarusian students of the 1st and 2nd years of studies with a good knowledge of English participated. The Round Table (Panel) was dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman and was conducted in English as part of the Foreign Languages Week at the corresponding academic department.

The Round Table (Panel) was organized by the Dean’s office of the Medical Faculty for International Students represented by Vice-dean, Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Foreign Languages L.N. Gushchyna and the Department of Foreign Languages represented by the Head of the mentioned Department, Assoc. Prof. Y.V. Razvodovskaya and the Head Teacher, Senior Lecturer I.V. Semenchuk. Approximately 70 people attended room 100. Five outstanding announcers (2 Belarusian and 3 foreign) moderated the Round Table (Panel). The debates covered crucial issues of a healthy lifestyle and women’s health in different countries.

In their presentation, Belarusian students demonstrated the importance of the healthy lifestyle for women and the conditions created in the Republic of Belarus to improve women’s reproductive health. International students from the Maldives, India, Nigeria and Sri Lanka highlighted the challenges and difficulties associated with women’s reproductive health and customs in their countries, as well as that work that remains to be done.

The students then engaged in practical discussions of situational problems related to health and offered healthy lifestyle recommendations to the opposing team. The most interesting moment was the debate on healthy lifestyle topics, which were chosen using a Spin the Wheel Game. Overall, the two-hour debates were conducted in a professional and friendly atmosphere.

Although there were two teams, one of international and one of Belarusian students, they were all part of a single, close-knit University family. After the Round Table (Panel) discussion concluded, the students stayed together for a long time, continuing to chat and exchange phone numbers. Everyone present thoroughly enjoyed this joint event.
