GrSMU is currently undergoing the process of re-accreditation by IAAR External Expert Commission

An external expert commission of the independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) has arrived to the university in order to re-conduct international institutional and programm accreditation.

Their visit will last from April 6 to 10 The accreditation is conditioned by the need to confirm the compliance of the university's educational programs with international standards in accordance with the requirements of the World Organization of Medical Education.

On the first day, on April 6, within the framework of international institutional accreditation a meeting of IAAR experts with the administration of GrSMU, heads of academic and structural departments and academic staff took place. In parallel, a survey and visual inspection of the university's educational bases and centers were conducted.

The experts visited the student educational and experimental center of Operative Surgery of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, the educational base and anatomical museum of the Department of Normal Anatomy, the simulation and certification center, the scientific and medical library, dormitory No. 4 of the State Medical University.

The working day of the commission ended with a discussion of the received data on the university's activities.
