Students of the Faculty for International students took part in the International Student Olympiad on emergency medicine "Safety Zone"

The final stage of the International Student Olympiad in emergency medicine "Safety Zone" was held at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University on March 24-26. GrSMU was represented by a team of 5^th and 6^th year students of the Faculty for International Students "The PITT CREW". The three-day program included a lot of intense and challenging tests. The first day was devoted to theory and team presentations.

The second day included three very difficult competitions: "First Aid" and "Emergency room" during which participants performed a full cycle of diagnosis and treatment was held in the Simulation Center; "Tactical Medicine" where they worked in conditions close to combat was held in the Military Training Center. On the third day, the medical marathon concluded with three key stages ("Chain of Rescue", "Practicum", "First Aid"), which required the highest level of resilience and united teamwork from the participants.

Taking into account the extreme complexity of all stages, conquering a place in a top five teams of the Olympiad is a significant result. The organizers highly esteemed the skills and performance of our students.

We would like to thank the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Head of the 1st Department of Internal Medicine Mikhail S. Deshko, as well as Assistant Professor of the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Military Field Surgery Eduard A. Bykovsky for training the team for such serious competitions.
