Open Curator’s Hour «The Role of Women in Modern Society»

On March 12, 2026, the curators of the Foreign Languages Department (M.A. Matskevich, E.M. Savchuk, E.M. Shevchik-Giris) conducted an open curator’s hour in the supervised groups 9a, 10a, and 11a (1st year, Faculty for International Students), dedicated to the role of women in modern society.

The aim of the event was:

  1. To shape a national image of the woman as a worker and contributor in the Republic of Belarus;
  2. To promote the role of women in preserving and developing society.

The objectives of the event were:

  1. To analyze the importance of family values and motherhood in fostering students' deep respect for the role of women in the modern life of the country;
  2. To emphasize the importance of women (who constitute 53.8% of the population) in various spheres: the economy, education, and medicine;
  3. To conduct a historical analysis of the role of women in Belarusian society.

Students shared their vision of the role of women in modern Sri Lankan society and spoke about famous women who have left their mark on the country's history.
