A Bridge between Continents. The African Culture Day was held at GrSMU

On November 6, the African Culture Day was celebrated with unprecedented fanfare at Grodno State Medical University. Students representing various African countries – Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Congo – came together to demonstrate that despite their geographical distances, they share a multitude of common values ​​and traditions.

The festive program was striking in its diversity and energy. The central event, the “Mr. and Miss Africa” contest, was a true highlight of the event. Participants captivated the audience in four categories: a spectacular fashion show in a variety of outfits, a presentation of their profession, an intellectual competition and a vibrant performance in national costumes with elements of traditional dance.

The judges faced a challenging task: each item was distinguished by its unique flavor and creative approach, drawing a storm of applause from the audience. The audience was full of enthusiastic responses and the atmosphere was filled with genuine joy and pride for the talented participants.

Following the exciting competition, the winners were determined and awarded memorable gifts. A special treat awaited all guests: a tasting of traditional African dishes, allowing them to truly experience the richness and diversity of this culture.
