Serious conversation

On October 13, 2025, a meeting was held between first-year students of the Medical Faculty for International Students and the Rector of the University, Professor I.G. Zhuk, the administration and staff of the Dean's office.

The Rector of the University addressed those present with a welcoming speech and wished the students success in their academic endeavors.

After the official part, the conversation continued in the traditional way. The Dean's office administration once again emphasized the need to comply with public order rules, hostel regulations, and educational requirements.

A mandatory part of such meetings with first-year students is an explanation of the specifics of Belarusian legislation regarding the residence of foreign citizens in our country. The law enforcement officials invited to the meeting were senior inspector of the Administration of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of Internal Affairs of Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, major Y.Z. Savonyaka, senior investigator for particularly important cases of the Office on Drug Control and Combating Human Trafficking of Internal Affairs of Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, militia lieutenant colonel M.T. Koloshich, as well as senior inspector of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of Internal Affairs of the Oktyabrsky District, major O.L. Zhuk. The “Serious conversation” with invited experts was aimed at preventing illegal behavior by foreign citizens. Students received clear instructions on how to avoid becoming victims or accomplices to crime.
