Sinhala and Tamil New Year Celebration, by the Sri Lankan Students' Association

On Monday, the SLSA hosted a celebration for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, at the technical college grounds. The event attracted around 200 students dressed in traditional Sri Lankan attire and was honored by the presence of the Dean, Vice Dean, and group curators, and vaspitatels of the hostels fostering a sense of community and cultural pride.
The celebration featured a captivating traditional dance that showcased the rich heritage of Sri Lanka. Attendees enjoyed a variety of games typically played during the New Year festivities in Sri Lanka which added an exciting element of competition and fun.
Guests also enjoyed a delightful array of food and drinks, highlighting the diverse flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine. This event not only allowed participants to honor their cultural roots but also created a warm atmosphere for students studying in Belarus, making it a memorable gathering away from home.
