WORK PLAN OF THE STUDENT SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY, VIROLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY NAMED AFTER S.I. GELBERG FOR 2025
1. Holding an organizational meeting in February 2025. Familiarization of students with the scientific interests of the department staff. The story about the main scientific directions of the department. Co-operation and scientific co-operation with departments and SRP of EI GrSMU. Possibilities of using electron microscope in the research work of the department.
2. Familiarization of students with preparation and purposes of use of differential-diagnostic media. Practical work: mastering of simple and complex methods of colouring; various methods of sowing, crossing of microorganisms on nutrient media.
3. Watching popular science videos about prevention of infectious diseases, immunological and microbiological diagnostics; discussing them. Mastering the skills of working with scientific literature, basic databases. Preparation of abstracts, multimedia presentations, reports.
4. During the year, the participation of students in conducting experiments and research work with the staff of the department. Registration of scientific publications at the conference. Preparation of reports. Presentation of student work at the national competition.
5. Summarising the results of work for the academic year – November 2025. Encouragement of distinguished and most active students.
