In 2005 she graduated from the Grodno State Medical University with a degree in preventive medicine, specialization in general medicine.
From 2005 to 2006 – trainee doctor at Pinsk City Hospital.
From 2006 to 2008 – local therapist at Pinsk City Hospital.
September 2008 - September 2009 – Trainee teacher at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology with a course in clinical biochemistry at the Educational Institution “GrSMU”.
September 2009 - August 2011 – Assistant at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology with a course in clinical biochemistry.
August 2011 - April 2014 – assistant at the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Allergology and Immunology.

Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, author and co-author of 68 published works, including seven educational and methodological publications, 18 articles in peer-reviewed journals of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, 20 articles in republican and international collections of materials from scientific and practical conferences, 17 theses in international and republican collections of conferences.
Three instructions for use have been developed and approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
She has two patents, two innovation proposals and more than 20 acts of implementation in practical healthcare.
In 2016, she was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in specialty 03/14/10 - clinical laboratory diagnostics. Topic of the dissertation: “Predicting the risk of development and features of the course of breast cancer based on the developed screening method for identifying mutations in the BRCA genes and indicators of intratumoral immune response”, scientific supervisor – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.A. Lyalikov.
In 2017, a scholarship from the President of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to a talented young scientist.
In 2021, she was awarded the academic title of associate professor in the specialty “medical biology”.
Academic work:
During her work as dean, I.A. Kurstak developed and introduced into the educational process new educational standards in the specialties “Nursing” and “Medical Diagnostics”; The educational process was organized according to subordination profiles: “Clinical laboratory diagnostics”, “Instrumental diagnostics”, academic mobility of faculty students to institutions of higher medical education of the Republic of Belarus was established.
At a professional level, she conducts practical classes, gives lectures to students, including in English, and actively introduces modern teaching methods into teaching practice. In her educational work, she combines fundamental knowledge with practical medicine, forming clinical thinking in students.
Clinical work:
Clinical laboratory diagnostics doctor of the highest qualification category, a competent and responsible specialist who provides highly qualified laboratory and diagnostic assistance to residents of the city of Grodno and the Grodno region.
The clinical workload is performed in the biochemical and molecular genetic departments of the clinical diagnostic laboratory of the health care institution "Grodno University Clinic".
Takes part in the development of rationalization proposals and actively participates in the implementation of new research methods, adaptation of already used methods to work on modern equipment.
