University Structure Academic departments Department of Psychoterapy and clinical psychodiagnostics

In 1993, the Grodno State Medical Institute created the first medical-psychological faculty in our country. The purpose of creating this faculty was to provide specialized training for mental health professionals. It was in this connection that the Department of Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy was organized in January 1995 as a specialized department of the medical-psychological faculty. The first head of the department was Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences E.G. Koroleva, the first teachers of the department were V.A. Karpyuk, A.N. Melnikov, and the clinical base was the Grodno Regional Psychoneurological Dispensary.

In 1997, the department moved to a new clinical site—the Neurosis Department of the Central District Clinical Hospital, later renamed the Psychosomatic Department of the 3rd City Clinical Hospital (currently the Psychoneurological Department). The second clinical site is the Borderline Conditions Department, located at the Grodno Regional Clinical Center for Psychiatry and Addiction.
